How long have you been in business?
E+M Services as a business launched in August of 2023. However, both Emily and Mallory had been providing pet care to Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas with apps such as Wag! and Rover since February 2023. Also, both had previous professional cleaning and pet care experience in their home states (Idaho and Tennessee respectively) for years prior to relocating to Pennsylvania.
Are you bonded/insured?
E+M Services is not currently insured. The state of Pennsylvania makes it extremely difficult for smaller pet caregivers to get insured. It is a professional goal of ours to get the business insured before 2025.
Why all the forms/contracts?
Every pet sitter you work with should have a contract in place. It is very important to ensure you as the client are informed of care specifics the pet sitter agrees to provide you - as well as establishing the service terms and liability agreements on the pet sitter's end.
Our intake forms, or questionnaires as we call them, allow us to gather vital information about you and your pet(s)/space. We want to make sure your expectations line up with the style of services we provide. It is important to us that both us and the client are satisfied and happy with the service.
Do you provide references?
No. We are a review based business, rather than relying on references. We encourage potential clients to check out our reviews both here on our website and on our Facebook Page. We ask all new clients to review us at the end of our first multi-day booking. Every client that would be open to being a reference has already written a review, and we value their time too much to have potential clients contacting them. We also care about their privacy, and are not comfortable with giving out their personal phone numbers.
