A coordinate system allows referencing the different entities contained in the project (points, lines, arcs, etc.)
DynamFluid allows defining three types of coordinate systems: Cartesian, cylindrical or spherical.
Inserting a coordinate system in the model can be done by means of the Reference system menu option of the Geometry menu that shows the list of Coordinate Systems defined in the model.
The dialog allows creating a new coordinate system (New button), modifying a new coordinate system (Edit button) or deleting an existing coordinate system (Delete button)
Â
To create a new coordinate system you should establish the reference system for the coordinate system (Ref. Coord. System), the type of coordinate system (Cartesian, cylindrical or spherical), the origin of the reference system (which establishes the displacement from the base reference system in the Displacement sheet), and the orientation of the coordinate system with reference to the base coordinate system (Rotation sheet).
There is a inertial reference system defined in the application that cannot be deleted, and that can be used as reference system to define other coordinate system.
Every coordinate system must be referred to a parent coordinate system.
Modifying an existing coordinate system can be done using the Edit button in the List of coordinate systems dialog box. The only field that cannot be modified is the identifier of the object t. The rest of fields can be modified as when defining a new coordinate system.
