Arcs

An arc represents the geometric non-closed place of the points in the plane that are located at a constant distance from a point (center of the arc). The angle comprised by the arc is fewer than 360º.

The management of the list of arcs defined in the model is done by means of the Arc menu inside the Curve menu of the Geometry menu.

This dialog box allows creating a new arc (New button), modifying an existing arc (Edit button) or deleting an existing arc (Delete button).

Defining a new arc

To define a new arc, the identifier of the object has to be set (positive integer different than zero and different than any identifier of an existing object), the angle of the encompassed circle, the center of the angle, and the starting point of the arc.

Modifying an existing arc

Modifying an existing arc can be done by means of the Edit button of the List of arcs dialog box. The unique non-modifiable field is the identifier of the object. The rest of fields can be modified as when defining a new arc.
