The constraints are objects that represent a limitation
to the displacement / movement.
to the gradient of displacement / velocity.
to the pressure or to the enregy.
The management of the list of constraints in the mode is done by selecting the menu option Generic Constraints of the Constraints menu of the Model menu that shows the list of existing constraints defined in the model.
This dialog box allows creating a new constraint (New button), modifying an existing constraint (Edit button) or deleting an existing constraint (Delete button).
For defining a new constraint, you must set the identifier of the object (positive integer different than zero and different than the identifier of any existing object), the coordinate system which the constraint is referred to (Drop-down combo box Sist. Coord. Ref. ), the number of dimensions of the constraint, which must match the number of dimensions of the reference coordinate system for the displacement and velocity field, or it must be set to one for the pressure / energy field. Furthermore, you must define the components of the constraints that are restricted, which can be set by selecting the checkbox of each restricted component. This selection can be done independently for every component.
Modifying an existing constraint can be done by selecting the Edit button of the List of Constraints dialog box. The only non-modifiable field is the identifier of the object. The rest of the fields can be modified as when creating a new constraint.
