Dylan's Internship Portfolio
Prior Engineering Work
This is one of the projects I've made in Digital Electronics in junior year. The large and messy circuit with all the chips, wires, and resistors everywhere is a Date of Birth displayer. As the inputs count from 0 to 7 (000 to 111 in binary), the outputs (a-g) on the seven-segment display shows my date of birth. This is one of the projects I am proud of as it was my first big project in Digital Electronics and I managed to complete it. There was a lot of work behind it though, I had to use truth tables with inputs X, Y, and Z and the outputs A-G on the seven-segment display, in order to get the output of the truth table which would be my birthday. Then we K-mapped every segment of the display individually to get a simplified expression which can be used to create a rough draft of the circuit. We took each circuit and combined them to their specific segments in the display's inputs. There was a lot of trial and error and it was definitely a struggle to complete this one.
I have prior experience making circuits and working with computers like Arduino.
I have prior experience with programming languages such as C++ to make projects with Arduino.
