DURAG's core story takes place in Rocco and Damani's junior year of high school, but during their freshman (and subsequent) years, the two, as well as THEIR friends, made many home-made memes together. While these memes were just jokes, the powerful bond everyone shared made them feel like real personas, allowing them to manifest in The Meme Dimension.

This powerful bond created a new dimension, "The Meme Dimension". This dimension is as corporeal as the one planet Earth lives in, but every physical creation, being, or other object was conceived by the minds of others. This means that any meme or joke you make that starts to be said over and over again for a prolonged period of time manifests itself in The Meme Dimension as a physical representation of said meme. This is exactly what happened with Rocco, Damani, and their friends, and the funnier\better the meme was received by those who laughed at it, the stronger it would be. The inverse is also true, as memes not well received would be weaker in physical strength and intellect, but most of those "lower-class memes" would be many in number, which still poses a potential threat.

Originally, The Meme Dimension was inaccessible to humans, and our mortal plain was inaccessible to memes, but that all changes when Duragman was conceived in the two friends' sophomore year. At THAT point, Duragman was the most powerful meme there was, and his vast intellect of memes as well as their workings was clear to him. He would begin to grow power hungry, and dream about owning a world and shaping it to his image, if not for his own personal gain, then just to know what it felt like.

He would begin to conduct research on his own, worked his way up the chain to force lower-class memes to do his bidding, including continue the research when he's away. Duragman would later convince CyphGod to build him a facility with machinery that would automate his experimentation processes. Many discoveries would come from this facility, but arguably the worst is a dimensional portal, stationed behind the facility with nothing but a somewhat thin winding road to it, floating above an empty bottomless void (as the rest of The Meme Dimension is). This portal became a gateway to the mortal world that all memes would make use of when directed to. This gateway also had a computer tied to it that would configure the gate with a dimension to travel to, and coordinates in said dimension. Duragman used this gate to eventually travel to Earth, but sent some memes in first. The location was a few feet away from where Rocco was hiding out in the beginning of Episode 2.

In Rocco's present, these memes came through, and he followed them up the property, eventually coming across a gate to The Meme Dimension and accidentally stepping through it. He then had to fight his way back and increasingly realized that he couldn't do it alone, so he found the gateway behind Duragman's facility and used it to return to his hideout property. There he made his way back to his house in the city, but the city was already infested with memes, hence his desperation turning him into Rock at the end of Episode 5... now another soldier of the meme brigade.

Damani was in the future during this time (Future Earth) which was already in ruin. The light blue sky now has hints of red and purple from the eroded ozone layer, and once grassy fields are now dirty scorched plains with formations of rock beveled upward, with magma shooting out. Borders of red electrical energy trap all living beings within them to keep the enslaved memes in check, and those passing through are burned to a crisp. Somewhere in the red dying planet is a church erected when the Earth still had surviving vegetation. This building once taught about the world's new purple durag wearing leader, which then became the secret hideout of Duragman. Damani travels here to defeat Duragman in the future as instructed of him by Rocco, but what happens next is up to the faits...

Ed Kid

The earliest, weakest, and dumbest meme in the army, though persistent and never gives up. It's assumed that he CAN speak, but has NEVER been heard, aside from random noises. This meme has the simplest strategy... walk near the enemy and shoot, reloading and taking steps back when needed. Though somewhat dexterous and able to jump, his arm strength is second to none and as such shoots his Er Rifle (obtained from the insanely huge surplus of the weapon) rather slowly.

This meme does whatever it's told, though often messes it up due to his clumsy, often day-dreaming personality. The meme doesn't have an actual name and only manifested from a noise, pose, and motion, but the name stuck from what other memes call him (though some call him Jawdin).

Clearly confused about his life choices, this weird meme acts very suspicious a lot of the time, and while seen often, is feared moderately more than those classed under him. Cuc scrambles to find whatever he can and uses it against his opponents, but therefore doesn't really know how to use his weaponry or what it's true capabilities are.

He isn't very smart, and would rather just stick it out and let himself be used as the cannon fodder. Even he knows that his whole existence revolves around a set of noises, but he CAN jump unlike some other memes. His original inception in the real world was on Saturday, ‎March ‎10, ‎2018 at ‏‎1:21:41 AM.

Sometimes called Jew since not everyone knows his name, but it's literally just Mort from Family Guy to be the replacement for the DOOM Imp.

The high school gym teacher loved by many now manifests himself as a meme in the durag army. He can't jump, and many "EEEEEEIGHHH", "URRRR", and other screeching or guttural noises can be heard from this meme, though nothing else.

Dean Head

Someone's talking over there, and this dean will find who it is, no matter how many times she has to ask. Some call her Mimi, and while her exact name isn't formally known, it seems plausible. Her head was infused with a Kennen Demon's flight gene, allowing her to fly, always and forever. She's also fairly fast, able to keep up with a full run (but not a sprint).

Upon death, Dean (Dean Head) will burst into a small flame. The flame doesn't even last for half a second but will STILL burn those it comes into contact with for a very short duration, if any at all. Dean Heads also die incredibly fast, acting more as ants to the colony than soldiers of the army.

Cypher

Cyphers are the product of CyphGod's chiefing (smoking). Whenever he smokes, he coughs out these memes who aimlessly fight on his side until they fall. Cyphers attack anything and everything in their path, blindly shooting until it dies. They become a big problem when in groups as they all start shooting in unison (even though they can NOT jump). When grouped together, they deal incredible amounts of damage, though they ALWAYS shoot their weapon slower than it's capable of. Despite the visible lack of intellect, this meme IS wise, just lacking common sense or care.

Cyphers have the ability to chief (smoke) as well, hence their naturally high appearance AND demeanor, but if a group of Cyphers chief together and channel all the outputted smoke into one spot, they can infuse that smoke with durag energy to revive their leader (CyphGod) should he be killed or go missing.

Kennen Demon

This large spherical being consists of Skeen and hence tanks damage. This slow moving monster can fly from a gene it possesses, and are fairly loud when alerted, though the exact words are sometimes hard to make out. For some, the screeches from this meme are nightmare inducing since it's silent until alerted, loud upon seeing an enemy, and produces somewhat quiet, calm, sometimes mocking noises when roaming\searching for those that fled, similar to a cat meowing for a mouse.

Kennen Demons can spit a ball of red durag energy that explodes on impact. They can also bite with an excessive amount of force when up close, but tend to only spit from far away. Since they only have one big eye in the center of their head, aiming isn't exactly their forte, but most can see fairly far.

iTunes

The physical embodiment of what the PC Master Race argument hates, Apple. While this meme is a physical iTunes logo with spider-like legs, it likes to manipulate and take over, much like it's creator company. Just as Mac OS mocked the Windows platform with an easter egg BSOD icon in the Finder, iTunes mocks it's opponents by shooting out Windows XP Critical Stop icons that implode on impact. Sounds from both operating systems can be heard emitting from this meme while it's alive as well.

These projectiles are the exact same shot out from the Windows XP Rifle. Since the iTunes is shooting the projectiles as a learned\acquired ability, it uses power with each shot and can NOT shoot anywhere NEAR as fast as the aforementioned artillery.

The only way to disarm the ITunes is to somehow syphon all it's power out or prevent it from using said power, since it regenerates it's power faster than it loses it while shooting. iTunes will almost always drop Meme Canisters, which can power certain weapons.

Teacher

If you know, you know, but the teacher is the calmer, less aggressive, less damage dealing, and less durable version of the Angered Teacher (seen below).

Angered Teacher

These memes are to some a worst nightmare realized, and to others... yesterday. The Teacher (seen above) and Angered Teacher will throw homework at his opponents, and when the fight switches to close quarters, teachers will clench theirs fists and frantically swing at those in front of him. Each hit deals impressive amounts of damage and the blows keep coming.

Dean

While the Dean Head's head still roams about, these deans still have theirs... at least physically. These Deans have been sent into a frenzy, throwing out homing demerits at anyone that crosses their path. Dean Bodies are extremely rugged, taking about ten rockets to kill, not to mention the hard hits she deals at close range.

Principle

Principles are the head of the operation... get it? These creatures are mass Dean Head generating machines, able to summon more and more the longer she has you in her sights. The closer you get to her, the more she's summon as well, so shes important to single out and kill early. She will also often spawn a set of three Dean Heads on death, releasing the last of her army even in her last moments.

Arg

"Sponge boi me bob! I've seen horrible things that nobody should ever see! Ahgeggeggeggeggeg!", "Yarr Spongebob! My stomach has ruptured and me organs are dissolving! Ahh!", "Sponge boi me bob! I've just overdosed on bath salts, and I'm going to eat myself alive!" (voice lines from Uncle Al on Youtube and other sources).

Args can regenerate power extremely slowly, but enough to only run out of power when spamming abilities. Arg can also pinch at close range, but only usually does so when out of power. This basic melee attack outputs the same amount of force of three crab claws combined in the real world. Args are also EXTREMELY resilient and take IMMENSE firepower to kill.

Burger Blast
- The user summons a burger from their palm, which travels a decent distance but is still affected by gravity, and thus has a downward arc. The projectile will splatter when coming into contact with a wall, floor, or ground, but will damage and push back individuals it hits. Relatively low power is required for the ability to function but WILL fail without it.
Strong Crab Claw Pinch

Pat

Arguably the strongest (and therefore highest classed) meme of non-boss status. Pat's vocal cords are so powerful that the sound waves produced ALONE can cause tissue damage.

Pat is as dangerous as non-boss memes come, fast, somewhat strong, dexterous, "tanky", and has A LOT of stamina. Besides great stats, most Pats can see relatively far, and his constant shrill vocals deal consecutive damage as he gets to close range. This property to his screams is what powers Er Rifles, and just like the weapon, the ability to designate targets and leave those NOT targeted unscathed is present.
