Here you will find reading material that provides you with better insight into the Norwegian language. You can expand your vocabulary, learn grammar and sentence structure, as well as sharpen your comprehension skills:
Colloquial Norwegian: This is a great textbook for late beginners (A2 to B1). We love the layout, exercises, dialogues and explanations. Check out the accompanying audio files in the "Listening" section.
Praktisk Norsk (series): This series is great for younger beginners, but can be use by anyone. It follows a simple structure where concepts are explained, then exercises (fill in the missing word) follow. It consists of book 1 (A1 to A2) and book 2 (A2 to B1).
Children's Books Forever: For kids and early beginners, this website offers a few children's books which are perfect for grasping simple concepts about Norwegian grammar and spelling.
The National Library of Norway: Good for all levels. Search through a wide range of Norwegian books across many genres. You will need a Norwegian IP address to access the library, we recommend Touch VPN (see "Apps"), which will allow you to access the library.
Norske Folkeeventyr: A collection of Norwegian folktales and stories. Great for delving into Norwegian culture while expanding your vocabulary.

Colloquial Norwegian Audio Files: This is an accompaniment to the Colloquial Norwegian textbook listed above (see "Reading").
Radio Norway: This is a collection of Norwegian radio stations. Entertaining and great to listen to in the car or while doing other activities. This app is great for learning more about Norwegian culture, and in addition it helps with pronunciation and communication.

Duolingo: A well structured language learning course that is easy to use and great for expanding your practical vocabulary. Duolingo also has a web version available to all platforms (see "Websites").
Touch VPN: You can use this fully free VPN to watch Norwegian Netflix and to make use of the National Library of Norway (see "Reading").
Anki: A popular, and rightfully so, flash-card based application great for memorizing words, concepts, rules and phrases.

Norsk Rikskringkasting (NRK): This is Norway's public access TV network. It as a wide array of television series and videos that are available for free.
Duolingo: This website makes Duolingo accessible to all platforms, check it out if you're not on mobile.
Norwegian News Articles: Here you can find a very useful site filled with up-to-date news articles for locations all across Norway. Immersion is key!
Norwegian on The Web (NoW): NoW is a free, easily accessible resource meant for students who need to learn the Norwegian language before moving to Norway for study purposes. It's a course filled to the brim with excellent material that any leveled speaker may find useful, especially beginners
