Adverbs

Adverbs are words that modify the meaning of verbs, adjectives, other adverbs or prepositions. Some can be conjugated by degree like adjectives, others are unchangeable. In Norwegian adverbs are mainly categorised by their meaning. We have four main categories:

• Adverbs that specify time

• Adverbs that specify place

• Adverbs that specify manner

• Adverbs that specify degree
