The Consumer Protection Division conducts regular monitoring and enforcement activities to ensure compliance to fair trade laws.
The Enforcement of confirmed non-compliance with Trade and Industry/Fair Trade Laws including the R.A. 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines), and the R.A. 7581 and R.A. 10623 (Price Act). The team issues Notices of Violation (NOVs) to erring entities and establishments.

JUST IN | DTI Camarines Sur and Naga City Price Coordinating Council (NCPCC) conducted the monitoring of school supplies in Naga City last July 16, 2024 in preparation for the forthcoming opening of classes on July 29, 2024. The team was composed of DTI, PNP, City Treasurer's Office (CTO) and Hon. Councilor Albeus and was able to monitor ten (10) business establishments selling school supplies in Naga City.
The monitoring team inspected the prices, markings, labels, quantity and quality of school supplies vis-à-vis with the “Gabay sa Pamimili ng School Supplies” issued by DTI last July 2, 2024. The main objective of the monitoring is to ensure that business establishments selling school supplies are within the price guide as well as check adequate supply and for consumers to get best value for their money.
