Everything in the universe is made from atoms, some of them are different sizes and that makes different materials called elements.
There are two experiments to try today which investigate how chemical elements react.
Follow the instructions in the photo for experiment 1, or try the mentos and coke experiment in the video and see if you can make a rocket or a fountain.
Test the properties of some of your household liquids by making your own pH indicator. You can do this by cooking some red cabbage and using the lovely dark liquid which come out, or mash up the petals of some coloured flowers and add a little water to make a coloured liquid. Get an ice cube tray and place a few drops of your indicator solution in each. Add a few drops of one of the liquids you collected and see if the colour changes. You could try milk, lemon juice, bicarb soda + water, liquid soap, vinegar.
What would you ask for if you could have anything you could wish for?
Watch this video to see what King Solomon asked for when God asked him what he wanted.
The bible tells us God created this Wonderful World in an infinite universe and has given us minds to explore and work out how it all works. King Solomon asked questions and so should we. Believing in God does not mean you can't ask questions, in fact you need to keep asking and working through things for yourself. Watch the following video to see how one scientist works all this out.
