26-06-2025 : Walkathon on International Anti Drug Awareness Program

The International Day against drug abuse and illicit Trafficking Day organised by EAGLE CLUB in association with NSS Unit on 26 June 2025, on this occasion  they conducted awareness Rally and took pledge. In this program Principal Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, EAGLE CLUB coordinators Dr. Dhanajaya Reddy, C.N. Latha, Vice Principal Balasubramanyam Achari, Faculties Subbarao, Hari Babu, Jogi prasad and Students were participated.

18-07-2025 to 23-07-2025:  Vicennial Celebrations of the RTI Act-2005

The "Vicennial Celebrations of the RTI Act-2005" at Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram involved an awareness drive about the Right to Information Act, 2005 by active involment of NSS Unit, with activities like poster displays, banners, and skits. The event aimed to educate the public on how to file an RTI application and highlighted the role of Information Commissions in upholding citizens' rights, according to Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram.  The celebration included: 

• Informative displays:
  Posters and banners were used to disseminate information about the RTI Act and its processes.

• Creative presentations:
  Skits were performed to illustrate the steps involved in filing an RTI application.

• Emphasis on Information Commissions:
  The event underscored the importance of Information Commissions in ensuring citizens' access to information and holding public authorities accountable, according to Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram.

• Awareness of implementation:
  The event deepened understanding of how the RTI Act is put into practice.

AP Youth for Social Impact (YFSI) awareness program was conducted in our college by NSS Unit, in association with all other departments on 2 July 2025. In this program the principal Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, enlighten the students to participate more number of students in youth for social impact program.     students transform bold ideas into sustainable ventures addressing local challenges across diverse themes such as HealthTech, AgriTech, Clean Tech, Heritage & Culture, Disaster Management, and many others

NSS Unit celebrates grandly ,National Service Scheme Day 2025 with the theme "Empowering Youth for a Sustainable India ".The Principal Dr.S.Vijayulu Reddy,who presided over the program,said that NSS Volunteers should always be at the forefront in servicig the society.Dr.Gomathi from Anna Gowri hospital,who was the chief guest of the program, said that NSS Volunteers of Government Degree College should participate actively in blood donation camp..NSS Unit Program Officer Dr.Dhananjaya Reddy said that NSS Unit be the best  platform for doing social service to human kind. and said that  he too donated blood 26 times so far and everyone should have socially conscious. In this program All  Faculty members, Anna Gowri Hospital Blood Bank team, 93 NSS Volunteers were participated

31.10.2025 : National Unity Day 2025

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was celebrated NSS Unit of Government Degree College ,Karvetinagaram. on 30th October Sardar @150-March (Padayathra) was conducted . On 31st National Unity Day was celebrated  On this occasion  Principal of the college Dr. Vijayulu Reddy said that everyone should move forward in the spirit of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who helped India to be united. NSS Unit Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy took Rashtriya Ekta Pledge (Unity Pledge) along with Students & Staff In this Program 12 Faculty and 58 students participated 

01.11.2025 : Vigilance Awareness -Integrity Pledge

National Integrity Day(Vigilance Awareness Week) was celebrated by NSS unit of Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram. Principal of the college Dr. S Vijayulu Reddy who was  presided over the program called everyone to be partners for a corruption free society. Sub-inspector Ramesh, who was the chief guest of the program, said that every government and private sector employee should keep public interest in mind and work honestly and transparently. NSS Unit Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy took a civic integrity pledge by the staff and students of the college that everyone will be partners for a corruption-free society. A large number of police personnel, college staff and students participated in this program.

11.11.2025 : National Education Day

National Education Day was celebrated by NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram   on November 11 in  commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India's first education minister. Principal  Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy was the chief guest and explained the importance of education. "Education is the foundation of personality development. The path shown by Maulana Azad should be a guide for today's youth," he said. 

NSS Unit Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy explained the perspective of educational service and said, "Education should not be limited to the curriculum but should inculcate morals and responsibility to serve the society." Teachers Lata, Subbarao, Haribabu Jogi Prasad and a large number of students participated in this program.
