14-06-2024: WORLD BLOOD DONORS DAY-2024
"World Blood Donor Day-2024" was organized by NSS Unit, Youth Red Cross Society, Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram in association with Community Health Center, Karvetinagaram. Principal Dr. S Vijayulu Reddy who was the Chief Guest for this awareness program said that everyone should become a blood donor and help make the world a healthy place. Dr. Gopinath, Medical Officer, Community Health Center, Karvetinagaram, informed that blood donation is crucial for many medical procedures like surgical treatments, childbirth, cancer treatments and emergency care for accident victims. It is informed that the WHO recommends that at least 1% of a country's population donates blood that is generally sufficient to meet that country's basic needs for safe blood. Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy, Program Officer of NSS Unit appeal to all participants that encourage friends and family members to become regular blood donors and called upon them to donate blood throughout the year. Gynecologist Dr. Bhagyalakshmi, Orthopedician Dr. Lakshmipathy, Health Assistant Ambarish, College Faculty S. Karthik and other students participated in this program.
21-06-2024: INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY-2024
Principal of Government Degree College Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy informed that perfection is possible through the practice of yoga. On Friday, the International Yoga Day was celebrated under the joint auspices of NSS Unit, NCC and Exercise Department of the college. Bharatiya Yuva Morcha leader Yuvaraj was the chief guest for the programme. Speaking on this occasion, the prince informed that mental stress and anxiety can be reduced by practicing yoga. NSS Unit Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy informed that since yoga is a precious gift of ancient Indian tradition, everyone can experience a healthy and happy life if they practice yoga regularly. After that, Jogi Prasad, the head of the college's exercise department, did important asanas, breathing process and jnana process with the students. 26-06-2024:: Anti-Drug Awareness Programs
NSS Unit, Government Degree College Karvetinagaram in collaboration with Enforcement Department of Karvetinagaram organized a rally on the occasion of International Anti-Narcotics Day on Wednesday. In this program, the Principal of the college, Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, addressed the students and suggested that the youth should not get lost in drunkenness, but should set high goals and take steps in that direction. In this program, Enforcement Sub-Inspector G Bharti informed that the youth should give up intoxicants and enjoy a healthy life. 19-07-2023:: Helmet Wearing Awareness Rally
An awareness rally about headgear was organized under the auspices of NSS unit department of Government Degree College on Thursday Karvetigaram in association with the department of Police. Dr. S Vijayulu Reddy, principal of the college who participated in the event, said that every two-wheeler rider should wear a helmet. Sub-inspector Venkateshwarlu, who participated as the chief guest of the program, said that 90 percent of road accidents are two-wheeler accidents and those who travel without helmets are punishable. 05-08-2024::Anti-Drug and Anti-Tobacco Awareness Programme
NSS unit of Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram organized an awareness conference on the prohibition of tobacco and gutka intoxicants in collaboration with the charitable organization RASS IRCA. College Principal Dr. S Vijayulu Reddy, who presided over the program, said that the youth should be aware of the ill effects of using tobacco products. Ross Councilor P Nagaraju said in this program that students should not get addicted to drugs. NSS Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy said that although we know that the use of tobacco is harmful to life, the habit that started as fun turns into an addiction and takes lives, about 13.5 lakh people die due to the use of tobacco in our country every year. An awareness conference on rainwater conservation, restoration of traditional water resources, efficiency of drainage etc. An awareness conference on rainwater conservation, restoration of traditional water resources, efficiency of drainage etc was arranged as part of Jal Shakti Abhiyan on Saturday by NSS unit of Government Degree College ,Karvetinagaram, Chittoor Dist of Andhra Pradesh . 07-08-2024:: National Handloom Day 2024
National Handloom Day was celebrated on Wednesday by NSS unit of Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram. Dr. S Vijayulu Reddy, principal of the college, who participated as the chief guest in the program, said that the handloom industry should be encouraged by wearing handloom clothes. NSS Unit Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy said that handloom played a major role in India's freedom movement and became a tool for freedom fighter, and also informed that August 7, which played a key role in the boycott of foreign goods, is being celebrated as National Handloom Day. On August 7, 2015, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced that the National Handloom Day had been started. . All the students also informed that handloom industry should be encouraged. 14-08-2024:: Harghartiranga Pledge & Rally Program
Har Ghar Tiranga program was held as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav under the aegis of NSS unit at Government Degree College on Wednesday. Karveti Nagar Tehsildar Bhagwati, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that the Har Ghar Tiranga evokes a deep sense of patriotism in every citizen and strives to create more awareness on the importance of our national flag. Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, Principal of the college, who presided over the function, said that everyone should respect our national flag and enthusiastically participate in every national event. NSS Unit Programme Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy administered the oath to all the students to hoist the Tricolor, honour the spirit of our freedom fighters and martyrs and dedicate myself to the development and progress of India. The NSS unit of the Government Degree College celebrated the National Teachers Day. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of Government College Dr. S. 11-11-2024 : National Education Day-2024
National Education Day was celebrated on Monday under by the NSS unit, Government Degree College,Karvetinagaram. The Principal Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, who presided over the program said that Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, who served as the first Education Minister after independence, made significant contributions in the field of education and in recognition of that, the Central Government has decided to celebrate his birthday 11th November as National Education Day from the year 2008. NSS Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy said that as the Education Minister, Dr. Abul Kalam Azad worked hard to implement compulsory primary education up to the age of 14 in the country. He said that Dr. Abul Kalam Azad made immense efforts to bring about revolutionary changes in the country's education system, including the opening of IITs, Banaras Hindu University, etc. College Vice Principal Dr. Bala Subramaniam Acharya, faculty members Dr. Subba Rao, Jogi Prasad, and students participated in the program.

26-11-2024: Misuse of social media and Cyberbullying
As per the Guidelines issued by CCE, AP., NSS UNIT, Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram, A.P Organized an Awareness Program on Misuse of social media and Cyberbullying on 26th November 2024 for our College Students by assemble them in our Seminar Hall by 11.00 AM. Mr.Munikrishna Assistant Sub-inspector of Police attended with his team as resource persons. They made awareness on Cyberbullying impacts on youth through misuse of social media. Dr.S.Vijayulu Reddy the Principal Presides over the Program and instructed the students about what care to be taken while attempting Unknown calls & Messages . NSS Unit Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy said that with the help of technology, it is possible to identify those who are committing crimes of cyber bullying under aliases. IN this Program 128 Students and 14 Faculty were participated.
28-11-2024: Blood Donation Program-2024
The NSS unit of Government Degree College, Karvetinagar, Red Ribbon Club and NCC jointly organised a mega blood donation camp in association with SIMS Blood Bank, Tirupati. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy called upon the people to donate blood and give life to one another. Swims Blood Bank Dr. Suresh and his staff participated in the event. Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy, NSS Unit Programme Officer, Youth Red Cross Society Coordinator and Mathematics teacher, became an inspiration for all the students by donating blood for the 25th time as a blood donor in his lifetime. A total of 21 blood donors participated in the camp. Dr. C. N. Latha, Dr. Subba Rao, Dr. Hari Babu, Dr. Raghu, Dr. Babu, Karthik and other faculty members and students supported the programme.

12-02-2025 Appreciation -National Integration Camp
Principal Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy congratulated Karveti Nagaram Government Degree College NSS volunteer Chamala Ravikumar for participating in the week-long "NSS National Integration Camp 2025" held at Narsapur. The camp provided training on many topics including service attitude, national integration, unity in diversity, and religious harmony among the students. 20-02-2025 Personality Development with STVIN
Government Degree College NSS Unit, Department of Youth Services, SETWIN Tirupati organized an awareness program on the topic of "Personality Development Study Skills and Career Guidance" on Thursday. College Principal Dr. S Vijaylu Reddy, who presided over the program, said that students should choose a high goal and work towards it. SETWIN Chief Executive Officer K Mohan Rao said that students should pay special attention to skill development along with education. 10-02-2025 National Deworming Day
National Deworming Day was celebrated on Monday in collaboration with the NSS unit and Community Health Center of the Government Degree College. The college Vice Principal Dr. Balasubramaniam Achari, who participated in this awareness seminar, said that students should take deworming medicines regularly. NSS Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy said that worms infect children in areas where sanitation and hygiene are poor. These infections lead to anemia and malnutrition, which hinders the mental and physical development of children. It is advised to eat clean fruits and vegetables and drink safe water. It is advised to wash hands especially after using the bathroom and before eating. It is advised that clean living conditions prevent the spread of pathogens. It is advised not to eat contaminated food that is not stored properly. They informed that medicines like Albendazole or Mebendazole are effective in preventing worms and that all members of the family should use these tablets regularly. 283 Albendazole tablets were distributed to the students. Health center staff Manjula, college faculty Raghuram, Jogi Prasad and students participated in this program.
15-02-2025 Swarnandra- Swachatha Andhra(SASA)
The Government Degree College organized the Swarnandhra-Swachh Andhra program on Saturday in partnership with the NSS unit. The college principal, Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, who participated in the program, said that keeping the environment clean is everyone's responsibility. He informed that all students and teachers must be participants in the Swachh Andhra program on the third Saturday of every month. NSS Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy administered the Andhra pledge to all students and teachers to dedicate some time every day for the cleanliness of the environment and to commit themselves to the resolve of achieving a clean Andhra Pradesh by donating their labor for cleanliness programs. Three dust bins were placed to separate wet, dry and hazardous waste. He explained how to make compost fertilizer from waste. College Vice Principal Balasubramaniam Achari, faculty members CN Latha, Subba Rao, Haribabu, Babu, Saritha, Eshwara Reddy, Vishwanatha Reddy, Jogi Prasad, office staff and students participated in this program in large numbers.
21-02-2025 Road Safety Awareness -DSP Program
A road safety awareness conference was held under the auspices of the NSS unit of the Government Degree College on Friday. Nagari DSP Syed Mohammed Aziz, who was the chief guest for the program, said that awareness about road safety is very important and it is the responsibility of all citizens to know and follow the road safety rules. He also called on all the students to not only be careful but also to educate their peers by not getting involved in intoxicants. Karveti Nagaram CI administered a road safety pledge to everyone. SI Raj Kumar said that road accidents can be prevented by following traffic rules and wearing helmets and seat belts. The DSP congratulated student Bhanu Prakash, who made posters about road safety. College Principal Dr. S Vijayulu Reddy, who presided over the program, said that Syed Mohammed Aziz, despite being a DSP at a very young age, is an inspiration to all the students. 07-03-2025: International Women's Day 2025
Karvetinagaram Government Degree College, NSS Unit and Women Empowerment Cell jointly organized an International Women's Day program on Friday. College Principal Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, who presided over the program, said that women are excelling equally with men in all fields and Sri Shakti is an ideal for the world. Community Health Center women doctors Gynecologist Dr. Kirti, Anesthetist Dr. Shruti, and Ophthalmologist Dr. Shruti Bhagyam participated as chief guests in the program and inspired the students by explaining the efforts they have put in to reach this level. In honor of International Women's Day, prizes were given to M. Gnana Prasanna, N. Manasa, and Mee Poornima, who passed the drawing and painting competition. Later, the women guests were felicitated on behalf of the college. Karveti Nagar Government Degree College, in partnership with the NSS unit, organized an awareness seminar, rally, and pledge on the ban on single-use plastic on Saturday as part of the Swarna Andhra-Swachh Andhra program. Speaking at the awareness seminar, the college principal, Dr. S. Vijayulu Reddy, who participated in the awareness seminar, said that everyone should ban the use of single-use plastic. The principal congratulated students Chakradhar and Bhanu Prakash, who made posters on the prevention of single-use plastic. In this program, plastic bottles and plastic covers were removed from the college premises. A single-use plastic awareness rally was organized. A demo was held on how to clean hands. Later, NSS Program Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Reddy made the students, teachers and all the students pledge to do their best for a plastic-free society. College Vice Principal Dr. Balasubramaniam Achari, Jogi Prasad, Babu, Eshwara Reddy, Bhargavi, Meena, office staff Raja, Tejovathi, and students in large numbers participated in this program.
