Rankings of academics is subjective.  I would never claim to be first.  But I liked this one because it shows there exists an AI ranking system that generates a result putting me as 1st in the U.S. in finance over the past 5 years!  I never would have guessed.  Given the result, it must be a good ranking system😉!

Call for Papers - Institutions, Governance, and Economic Performance

A Special Section for the 50th Anniversary of the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics

This special section welcomes both regular research papers of about 8,000–10,000 words and shorter 4,000-word papers providing original perspectives on key conceptual and empirical research issues related to links between institutions, governance, and economic performance. Contributions are solicited to advance our understanding of the nature, evolution, and impact of national-level institutions, national- and firm-level governance factors, and economic performance, especially by employing innovative sets of data or by suggesting novel use of existing data sources. This Special Section will be part of 2023 events sponsored by Intesa San Paolo for the 50th Anniversary from foundation of the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics (formerly published as Economia e Politica Industriale).

The Finance Department at Florida Atlantic University of invites you to participate in the Florida Finance Conference on October 7, 2022, in Boca Raton, Florida.  Baolian Wang, Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Florida, will be our keynote speaker on the topic of “Stakes and Investor Behaviors”.

The conference will feature approximately 6 papers representing work from participating universities across all areas of finance. We strongly encourage papers from and participation of doctoral students as presenters and discussants. Paper presentations will likely begin around 9:00 am and the conference will conclude by 4:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  A light reception will follow the paper presentations.

Paper Submissions

To submit a paper, please email your paper to sjohan@fau.edu by September 2, 2022.  All submissions must be made electronically in Adobe Acrobat format. Please remove all author identification information from the paper and submit a separate title page with author contact information. Please be sure that the title page identifies any/all doctoral student authors.
