Notoriety System
Notoriety is a way to establish how well-known your character is amongst the town. You can level up your character in different ways. Every canon work, whether it is Art, RP, Collaboration or a short story.
In order to move a level up, you must note the group with proof of completing the given tasks.

You do not need to send a note for Friendship levels, only have your tracker/proof ready when you send in a request for notoriety level up.
FRIENDSHIPS AND QUARRELS
In order for your character to have an official best friend or enemy, you must complete 6 canon works with them.
This also counts for pre-made relationships. If you start out with a premade relationship, you will still need to make 6 canon pieces over the time in order to have the considered as canon.
It can be an RP or collaboration or relevant art trade, showing both of the characters and an interaction, that reaches the group´s canon art requirements.
Friendships Level
Level 1 - Strangers
Your characters recognise each other. No strong bond would be formed. *Strong opinions and impressions can be made*
Moving up requires
1 piece of canon work (Collaboration or Roleplay)
Lvl 2 - Acquaintances
They have become Acquaintances.
Moving up requires
2 piece of canon work (Collaboration or Roleplay)
Lvl 3 - Friends
It becomes easier to notice the small things such as different moods.
Moving up requires

Lvl 4 - Best friends
This is the highest affection can become for one another. Each dog would expierence friendship differently. Some may be ready to take on any danger for the other, while others consider this more as a close friend state.

Enemies Level
Level 1 - Strangers

They have become Acquaintances. If the previous encounter was negative, your character may or may not show it.

Lvl 3 - Opposer
More than a few interactions has happened with this dog. Your character can be wary, create conflict or steer out of trouble. Each situation may wary but it is hard to keep it a secret of their dislike.

Lvl 4 - Enemy
This is the last level to be considered a true enemy of your character. There are many ways to handle things. Some characters may just avoid the other, while someone else´s might choose to create conflict. This can lead to several plots. Keep in mind however, that word will spread if a bad act was to be done.
HOW TO LEVEL UP
Pieces that can help you level up need to be canon work. It describes art that is not in the misc folder.
Art requirements
It must have a background. Can be simple.
Your character must be in the illutstration. Headshot, bust, or fullbody. All count.
If it is a collaboration, both of the characters must be in it.
It must be about something related to the progress of your character and their life in Canidale.
Your more than welcome to draw or write a scene from the past. But we encourage more current story lines.
Grayscales, and rougher art styles are welcome. Though it should be clear it is not a sketch. Half-done work does not count.
Writing Requirements
If it is a short story, it must be at least 700 words.
If it is an RP, each character must have written at least 700 words total (if you add up each reply).
Short descriptions under illustrations that are above the word count of 400 word count as well.
NOTERIETY LEVELS
Nobody
Level 1
Level 1**Every character starts out as a nobody unless stated otherwise
No one knows who you are yet! This is the moment to make an impression.
Moving up requires
2 piece of canon work (collab, rp, short story or solo solo)
Proof of 2 acquaintances total
So-Called
Level 2
Some see you and recall your face or name. Does not matter much as you are forgettable and many will pass you by without second thought. You met some dogs who became your acquaintances.

6 new piece of canon work (collab, rp, short story or solo solo)
Proof of 1 friend/opposer total
Proof of 4 acquaintances total

Noteworthy
Level 3
You are finally noteworthy! Some are talking about you, and see you as important. Others may look down on you. It depends how well you have interacted with others.
Moving up requires
15 new piece of canon work (collab, rp, short story or solo solo)
Proof of 3 friend/opposer total
Proof of 1 best friend/enemy total
Proof of 8 acquaintances total (has to be at least one from every faction)
Achieving level 3 unlocks new perks
The prompt of gossip
Dogs begin to spread rumours about you. The gossip can be either good or bad. It depends how well things went. Some may simply talk down on you because they know your name.
Now that some know you, you are welcome to join the Canine Council if interested. Though some dogs prefer to stir away from the politics. Read more about joining the council here.

Established
Level 4
You have become quite popular, haven´t you? Others now seek you out and most will know your name without even meeting you. You can always help them out and build a reputation of a goodie-two-shoes. Or abuse some naive dogs and take advantage. You might not lead the popularity competition just yet, but they know who you are.

Proof of 3 best friend/enemy total
Proof of 16 acquaintances total (has to be at least one from every faction)

Renowned/Notorious
Level 5
Congratulations! You have unlocked the final level! your hard work have paid off. You are now a part of the most influential dogs of Canidale. Are you known for bad or good acts? Your life may take a turn depending on which path you chose! Both have perks and cons.
Renowned
If you have more friends than enemies, you are adored. More will come to you and ask for help. Dogs will seek your opinion and take the words to heart. You are known for committing more good deeds than bad ones. Others may try to get to know you just for the sake of hanging out with the famous dog.
Notorious
If you have more enemies than friends, congratulations, everyone hates you. This may seem fun as a journey goes. Dogs will enjoy mischief with you, or you may have fooled a few dogs along the way to get here. Either way, just keep in mind that in a time of need less dogs will be willing to help you out. Perhaps a few nobodies will fall for your trickery.
