Roles: Lead Designer and Programmer
Controlling two pet robots known as CATBOT and ROBITZ, hack-and slash through virus enemies using both bots, and constantly swap between game modes to stop your computer from malfunction. Play it on Steam!
Tasks:
As the Lead Designer my main job was to curate all the design in the game: I scheduled meetings with the other designers twice a week as well as the artist and the programmers. With them, we reached agreements in terms of what was the direction the game should go.
Along with that, I also worked on other tasks, including:
I designed one of the 3 game modes of the game: Popup Mode.
I designed one of the characters: Catbot.
I helped balancing both characters as well as the enemies.
I helped shaping the narrative of the game by changing some designs of the original pitch to contribute more to the narrative of it.
I designed, playtested and balanced the progression system of the world.
I designed the Floppy Machine and its floppies. In the game, this is a shop in which players can buy consumables that are one-time use and that give them specific buffs for a limited amount of time.
I also worked with other team members to create the upgrades the player can buy in the game (Recycle Shop) as well as their meta progression (Modding Shop). I also playtested and balanced those two.
