Standard 9 - Professionalism, Leadership, and Advocacy

This document is my certificate of the Global Compliance Network Training focusing on the Mandated Reporter training, as well as various other important responsibilities of a teacher.  This was completed on December 8th, 2023 and is current and valid.  Completion of this training demonstrates my knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations in which I am responsible for as an educator, and aids in my understanding of recognizing possible issues or challenges students may be facing outside of the classroom.  (9B) "knows laws and rules (e.g., mandatory reporting, sexual misconduct, corporal punishment) as a foundation for the fair and just treatment of all students and their families in the classroom and school."

This is a self-assessment document I utilized midway through my student teaching that helped to reflect on my teaching strategies and style.  This is an example of my ability to reflect on professional practice, student engagement, differentiation, and overall student development.   Additionally, students completed their own self-assessment as well as an assessment of the class procedures up through the midway point of the semester.  This allowed me to reflect on my teaching style, and utilize student feedback to make any nessessary adjustments for the remainder of the semester.  (9K) "reflects on professional practice and resulting outcomes; engages in self-assessment; and adjusts practices to improve student performance, school goals, and professional growth."
