STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

The AMOS Bursary provides British students in Year 12 with of African and/or Caribbean heritage with study skills and financial support.

 The Elephant Group runs seminars, and works to lower grade boundaries for university access, as well as offering face-to-face advice for medical entrance exams, managing stress and more.

In2scienceUK offers summer courses, mentoring, and workshops for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are interested in a career in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) based industries.

The Birkbeck Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development has previously offered In2STEM summer programmes in 2023 and 2024, and will be offering an exciting new programme in July 2025.

Orbyts believes that science should be truly inclusive for everyone, regardless of income-background, ethnicity, or gender. They pair researchers with schools to empower school students, researchers, and teachers through inspirational science research partnerships. This offers a unique opportunity for school students to engage with current scientific research, as well as for budding PhD researchers to take part in promoting inclusivity in research, and gain valuable training in pedagogy, management and science communication.
