Differentiation:

1. Providing sentence stems based upon what the student can complete independently. Scaffolding when needed. 

2. Encouraging inventive spelling which will help students to sound out words phonetically. 

3. Adding visuals/drawings to add to each student’s writing. This will help students to get their ideas across if they are a struggling writer or are unable to write a short sentence. 

4. Allowing extra time given based on student needs. 

5. Small group setting if needed based upon student needs.
