Inspired by Rudine Sims Bishopβs idea that books are mirrors, windows, and sliding glass doors, our goal is to ensure every student β in every school β both sees themselves in stories and explores the lives of others.
Β Β Β Β Β Β As your Teacher Librarian, Iβm here to collaborate, co-teach, and curate resources that help students read widely, think critically, and research ethically. Together, we can amplify their voices β in print, in person, and beyond our walls. Letβs make the library a vibrant part of our schoolβs learning ecosystem β a place where stories connect us all.

What is the Criteria for Success (Rubric) of the assessment/task/project your students are working on? Is there a mastery response? - OR - do you need support with this?
How can we align this lesson or unit with both the curriculum standards and information literacy skills (research, evaluation, digital citizenship, etc.)? - What are the standards you are working with?
Which formatsβbooks, media, databases, or creative projectsβwill help diverse learners engage most effectively with the topic? - OR -Β
What is the purpose of the visit?
Class visit to the Library to check out books and read quietly for a period

Align your preferred time or class period with the libraryβs availability. Plan ahead for teacherβlibrarian collaborations, and please provide at least one weekβs notice when possible.

Complete the TeacherβLibrarian Collaboration & Library Reservation Form to reserve your desired time or class period.
Please include as many details as possible about your visit or lesson. You may also email the Teacher Librarian any lesson plans, slides, or materials that will be used during the collaboration.
Step 04 - Await Confirmation

Please allow 24β48 hours after submitting your request for confirmation. The Teacher Librarian will email you to confirm your library reservation or teacherβlibrarian collaboration details. You will also be able to see your reservation updated on the calendar - Thank you - TL
