We are on the verge of a revolution, as automation is disrupting the way we live. The latest automation milestone in the AECO industry is arguably the delivery of the first permitted multistorey residential building in #3DprintedConcrete designed and built in Germany. It´s just the last of a series of achievements in 2021, which put #3DPC in the spotlight of innovators.

The challenge to bring this technology to scale involves a deep rethinking to overcome the "esthetics of 3D printed", which users don´t feel appealing. All of this while discoverying the technology, testing its possibilities and giving a different form to space and the city we live.

This year DIAGeD explores this technology with the task to consolidate a typical temporary german settlement, the Kleingarten or Kolonie. Are we better-off remaking the city or intervening it?
