On 27 March 2025, Distinguished International Associates 2024 (DIA), funded by Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), organized a wetland visit to River Engineering and Urban Drainage Research Centre (REDAC), USM. Guided by Prof Leo and 2 project staff, the outing brought together 14 participants—12 undergraduates and two lecturers from Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. 

The visit commenced with a warm welcome and a corporate presentation by Dr. Aida and REDAC's staff, introducing the research centre, key research, and their contributions to the river and urban drainage system. The REDAC's staff also highlighted the activity of research which integrated with the semiconductor industry to achieve the sustainable development in semiconductor area. Following the presentation, students were taken on a guided tour of the wetland.
