During my master’s studies in English literature, our professor Dr. Dilip Barad introduced various books, nonfiction, and films that helped us understand literature in a broader context. This list records those works in chronological order, showing how literature and cinema have evolved over time. This collection highlights the idea that no text stands alone. As Julia Kristeva explains, intertextuality means that "any text is the absorption and transformation of another." Literature and films are connected they borrow from, respond to, and reshape past works.
By including this list in my digital portfolio, I aim to show how different works influence each other and shape our understanding of key themes. It serves as both a reference and a reminder of how stories continue to evolve across time.
