To promote online safety and educate young people about cybercrime, the Gujarat government's Education and Home Affairs Departments initiated the Cybersecurity Awareness and Creative Handholding Kendra (CAWACH). In support of this, MK Bhavnagar University conducted a month-long campaign, spearheaded by Dr. Dilip Barad, to raise digital awareness among students in 17 departments. The campaign focused on teaching students about cyber threats, how to protect themselves, and responsible internet use. Under the guidance of Ms. Prakruti Bhatt and Ms. Megha Trivedi, two teams delivered engaging sessions on topics like staying safe online, identifying cyber threats, and securing personal information. These efforts aimed to improve students' understanding of cybersecurity and encourage them to be responsible digital citizens.
Those who played a key role in the 'CAWACH' campaign, both faculty and students, were recognized for their vital work in boosting cybersecurity knowledge. Their dedication to teaching students about online safety, cyber dangers, and responsible internet use was acknowledged with certificates and financial rewards. Their contributions, which included leading engaging sessions and managing the campaign's organization, were essential to its success. This recognition not only celebrated their hard work but also aimed to inspire ongoing efforts to promote cybersecurity awareness within the university.
