On September 18, 2026, I had the absolute privilege of delivering a guidance lecture on the Higher Education System under the NET-SET Guidance Lecture Series, organized by the Alumni Association of the Department of English at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University.

This day holds a deeply special place in my heart. Not only did I have the honor of giving back to my academic roots, but it also coincided with a milestone moment for me: qualifying the UGC NET for the 4th time (missing JRF by just 4 marks)! Being on both sides of this journey—as a continuous learner and a mentor—made the experience profoundly fulfilling.

The session was designed entirely from the perspective of how NET/SET competitive exams frame their questions. We dove into rich, active discussions covering:

The Evolution of Higher Education: Ancient, medieval, colonial, and post-independence eras.
Key Strategic Frameworks: Practical approaches to revision, PYQ analysis, smart elimination methods, and the color-coding system for efficient reading.
