Payne Whitney Gym
The Payne Whitney Gym (PWG) is located at 70 Tower Pkwy, New Haven CT.
Students are automatically enrolled in free membership at the Payne Whitney Gym, where you can access their fitness center, take group exercise classes, work with personal trainers, swim in their pool(s), and more!
Faculty and Staff can sign up for membership on a monthly or annual basis.

Outdoor Education Center
Outdoor Education Center
The Outdoor Education Center is located at 297 Upper Pattagansett Road, East Lyme CT.
Located on 1,500 wooded acres, the Yale Outdoor Education Center (OEC) is nestled on the south shore of a pristine mile-long lake. There are cabins and campsites to rent, plenty of spots to picnic, a new hiking trail, and a clean lake in which to rowboat, kayak, paddleboard, fish or swim. The OEC is located in East Lyme, Connecticut, just northwest of the quaint, seaside town of Niantic and only 42 miles from New Haven. The OEC is available to all members of the Yale community via membership, day-use fee or rental.

Graduate and Professional Intramural Sports (IM) are offered to students and spouses or partners each season through the Sports and Recreation Department. IM's include soccer, volleyball, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee.

The Yale Health Center is located at 55 Lock Street, New Haven CT, just a few minutes walk up the road from the DGSD Campus.
Since 1971, Yale Health Center has been the principal provider of acute, specialty, and primary care for Yale University students, faculty, staff, retirees, and their families. As Yale’s preferred provider of healthcare programs and services, Yale Health provides access to a unique model of care that delivers extraordinary care and services to its members, all located under one roof, in their Primary Care Medical Home.
All eligible students are enrolled in Yale Health insurance, and have the option for Specialty Coverage as well to be used at the Yale Health Center.
Faculty and Staff enrolled in Yale Health also have access to medical care at the Yale Health Center.

Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) Emergency Room is located at 20 York Street, New Haven CT. YNHH is the closest hospital to our campus, and can be accessed in need of a medical emergency. Yale Health Acute Care may advise you to go to this hospital if needed.
