Major points shared:

1. Lack of internet bandwidth, devices and uncertainty in electricity continue to be the prime concerns of all teachers.

2. Hardware, software and tips on using some of the software were discussed.

3. Proctoring of online exams was discussed at length. The majority consensus on this matter was

a. proctoring without adequate infrastructure and institutional support is nearly impossible

b. non-proctored examinations such as open book tests, both in synchronous and asynchronous modes, may be used in the meanwhile.

4. Design for assessment such as providing learning scaffolding and rubrics of evaluation should be taken care.

5. The near impossibility of virtual labs replacing real labs was felt by all. In the absence of access to laboratories the following were suggested

a. Use of virtual labs with or without virtual reality

b. Data to be collected by a teacher/teaching assistant, with the exercise of data collection being video recorded. The thus collected data can then be shared with students online and they can analyze.

c. Defer lab-based work until access to labs can be provided.
