PSEUDO CODE

For entering the mainframe world, IBM offers free online courses. One of this courses is presented by the Khan Academy and focuses on the basics of informatics and programming. This school offers JavaScript as the primary language therefore they created a version of AP CSP pseudo code standard in order to make the shift from pseudo code to JS easier.

The syntax follows some JavaScript rules while the pseudo code has integrated procedures inherited from COBOL as well.

3. PRE-DEFINED PROCEDURES AND FUNCTIONS

In AP CSP there are a few pre-defined procedures and functions.

If a specific task is given (exercise, exam), the task description may introduce new procedures and functions along, but these are not part of the AP CSP.
