Description:
The CTE Program advisory committee was created to serve the needs of the program. This committee is aligned to the goals of the students, teachers, parents, alumni, businesses, and community, in order to create a cohesive program. To do so, the committee will be comprised of members from each group. This includes local business people and entrepreneurs from our industry, innovative members of the community (such as political figures), parents (including those of current students and program alumni), and other school related faculty. With program alumni on the advisory committee, other members will be able to benefit from their experiences and help strengthen the program.
Committee Activities:
The advisory committee will be responsible for the following:
Meeting three times per school year.
Networking with local business and community members to help establish partnerships and future student placement sites.
Assisting and supporting the CTE Programs throughout the year.
Evaluating the status of the current CTE Programs and offering feedback on enhancing the programs to better meet the needs of all those involved.
Assisting with the recruitment efforts for the programs.
Supporting legislation related to the funding of CTE programs at all levels of government.
Creating community awareness of the CTE Program.
