At Desire Path Academy, our foundation is deeply inspired by the spiritual teachings of the Baháʼí Faith which emphasizes the oneness of humanity, the harmony of science and religion, and the belief that all faiths are part of one unfolding divine story. These values guide our approach to education, community, and service.
But we do not teach dogma, we teach dignity.
We do not preach one way, we teach children to listen, question, reflect, and walk their path with integrity, curiosity, and compassion.
We honor that each family brings their own spiritual journey, culture, and belief system into the learning space and that diversity is a gift, not a barrier.
Virtues First: We focus on shared spiritual values like kindness, truthfulness, patience, justice, and unity. Universal concepts that transcend religion.
Open Conversations: Children are encouraged to share their beliefs, family traditions, and celebrations without fear of judgment or exclusion.
Sacred Time: Daily mindfulness or devotion time invites children to pause, reflect, and connect with something greater. Whether through prayer, silence, story or intention.
Cultural Inclusion: We explore holidays, music, and stories from many world religions and cultures, celebrating the beauty and wisdom in each.
No Required Affiliation: Families of all faiths or none are welcome here. Whether you are Baháʼí, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, spiritual-but-not-religious, or simply seeking a heart-centered education for your child, you belong.
We do not teach what to believe.
We guide children in how to live with intention, compassion, and purpose—no matter their faith background.
We believe every child has a soul that longs to grow, every family has a story worth honoring, and every path toward truth is sacred.
At Desire Path Academy, your family’s faith is not something to hide it’s something we make space for.
Faith isn’t a separate subject it’s the thread that runs through everything we do. We weave spiritual principles into the rhythm of each day, nurturing not just minds, but hearts and souls.
Morning Grounding
We begin each day with a moment of stillness, intention, or prayer. This could be a quote, a reflection on a virtue, or simply holding space for gratitude and peace. Children center themselves and set a purpose for the day.
“Let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.” – Baháʼu’lláh
Virtue-Based Learning
Each week, we explore a new virtue like kindness, patience, unity, or courage. Through stories, songs, and real-life applications. Children are encouraged to notice and name these virtues in themselves and others.
Integrated Reflection
Journaling and storytelling are a big part of our curriculum. Students regularly reflect on their choices, emotions, and actions through a spiritual lens. Even art and writing assignments might include prompts like:
How can I serve my family or communcommunity today?
Service as a Lifestyle
Service is a cornerstone of our school culture. Whether it’s caring for the classroom, helping a friend, writing thank-you notes, or tending to the garden, children are taught that small acts of service are sacred and meaningful.
Consultation & Conflict Resolution
We make group decisions, and practice listening with respect. Children learn how to express themselves honestly while considering others’ viewpoints building empathy and unity.
Stories That Shape the Soul
Our books and lessons include stories of spiritual heroes from many traditions. These are presented in age-appropriate, inclusive ways that emphasize virtues, justice, and the oneness of humanity.
While our values are Baháʼí-inspired, we welcome and honor families of all faiths. Our spiritual approach is inclusive, non-dogmatic, and grounded in universal principles:
That all people are one human family
That truth can be found in many traditions
That children are inherently noble and full of potential
