The Schools Division of Surigao del Norte actively took part in the recently concluded 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2025, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening a culture of preparedness and disaster resilience across the education sector.
During the drill, division personnel collectively demonstrated the proper Duck, Cover, and Hold procedure, highlighting the critical importance of readiness, quick response, and coordinated action in the event of an earthquake. The activity served as an opportunity to reinforce safety protocols and enhance awareness among personnel on appropriate actions during seismic emergencies.
Through its sustained implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) initiatives, the Schools Division of Surigao del Norte remains steadfast in promoting safe and resilient learning environments while empowering school communities through education, preparedness, and proactive disaster drills.
