We focus on the function of the novel two-component signal transduction system SatKR in the control of growth and differentiation in Streptomyces coelicolor. We have identified SatKR regulon which encompasses so-called supercoiling hypersensitive cluster (SHC). We showed that SatR activation leads to growth inhibition and governs interspecies communication. Now we further explore the mechanism of the transduction cascade.
