Project Learning

This term Year 7 students have completed a project called Who Am I? This was a powerful student led project which enabled Year 7 to consider what affects who they are in terms of culture, identity, genealogy and aspirations. They produced fantastic presentations to the other year 7 tutor groups and creative mood board designs. This half-term students are completing the Community Outreach project whereby they produce either a product/service or activity to positively contribute to our wider community.

Year 8 have completed the Armistice project which marks the centenary celebrations and have understood where the symbol of the poppy originates, empathetically reflecting upon all of the soldiers who have lost their lives. This half-term Year 8 are completing the homelessness project to support local charities and make a difference.

Year 8 have made pledges to complete active citizenship in the community. The students have really engaged with the projects and developing their leadership and communication skills.
