In October, Longdendale’s admin link to Careers, Joanne Sheldon, organised another successful careers event for our year 11 students. We invited a large number of education providers, along with local and international companies, in to school for the afternoon. The whole of year 11 were off timetable to attend talks and presentations and visit the various stalls at the exhibition. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to learn about the many courses and apprenticeships available to them after Longdendale. They were inspired finding out about the exciting opportunities and possibilities open to them. It was also a chance for students to talk to the various providers and employers and even take application packs to fill in. Year 11 parents were also invited to attend the event with their child. Evaluations of the event were extremely positive and we are so lucky to be able to offer such fantastic experiences to our students.
