For this project, I researched an emerging technology called Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and created a PowerPoint presentation explaining how they work, their potential benefits, risks, and future impact.
I chose Brain-Computer Interfaces because I am interested in the advancement of healthcare and enjoy learning about new technologies that have the potential to improve people's everyday lives. I also thought it was cool that scientists are developing technology that can allow people to control computers or other devices using only their brain signals.
One of the most interesting things I learned is that Brain-Computer Interfaces may allow people with paralysis to communicate, control a computer, or even operate a robotic limb using only their thoughts.
This project helped me better understand how emerging technologies can improve healthcare while also creating new challenges. I learned that Brain-Computer Interfaces have the potential to help people regain independence and improve their quality of life, but they also raise important questions about privacy, security, and ethics.
