Some other useful learning resources recommended by Stephen for the Beethoven piece:
Cyberbass learning tracks: (free) http://www.cyberbass.com/Major_Works/Beethoven_L_v/beethoven_9th_symphony.htm
German pronunciation of text (they use different score, thus give different page numbers): https://soundcloud.com/follower144/pronunciation-guide-for
Below are some of the Cyberbass tracks converted to mp3 file which you can download and use:
Scanned Vocal Scores for pieces in this concert:
Thanks to bass Paul Glick for sending this info: "I came across this web site that has laid out all the tracks using a simulated voice (it is really bizarre). Nevertheless, it is quite effective. For each voice part there is a solo, a mixed voice with your voice part emphasized and a tutti version. There are controls that let you slow it down or speed it up. I plan to use this just to get the pitches and the feel of this thing... Here is the link to this page: A Jubilant Song Rehearsal Tracks"
After checking these out, I found the "solo" files to be the most useful, so I'm including mp3 files of those here so it's easy to download to your computer or phone:
Ludwig van Beethoven
Norman Dello Joio
Gwyneth Walker
