Thank you to Anna's Taqueria for their support:
Anna's Taqueria burrito's will be provided for lunch for our track officials and volunteers! Check them out at https://www.annastaqueria.com/
Spectators:
We welcome spectators to our meet! Please be aware BU reserves the right to charge and collect an admission fee for all spectators at the door.
All spectators must view the competition from the stands. Only athletes are permitted in the competition area.
Although there is currently no policy excluding spectators inside the facility at this time, BU controls this policy and may determine a change could be necessary for the safety of all.
Masks:
There is currently no mask mandate while inside BU's Track. This policy may be adjusted at a later date if deemed necessary and required by Boston University.
Spikes:
Pyramid spikes must be no longer than 1/4 inch.
Pin and Christmas tree spikes are NOT permitted.
All World Athletic, USATF and NCAA rules apply to appropriate use of the competition/facility hosting the meet. Failure to comply with any and all rules risks the safety of athletes, coaches and spectators. This failure is grounds for immediate DQ of the athlete or team and exclusion from the meet. Additionally, failure to comply will make you liable in the case of any incident that arises from an athlete's and/or athlete's coaches negligence.
Implement Warm Ups: (including throws and poles)
All warm ups involving an implement MUST be supervised at all times by an official, and doing so without an official present is grounds for athlete disqualification. All implement warm ups MUST take place within the throwing cage, or in the case of pole vault on the runway toward the pit. Using any location outside of the designated throwing cage or runway for implement-use warm ups is NOT permitted and will garner disqualification from the meet without refund and possible exclusion from future sanctioned events.
Horizontal Jump Warm Ups:
Run backs are NOT permitted at any time.
Horizontal and Vertical Warm Ups:
All jumps and run ups using the runway, jumping pits, and areas in reasonable proximity to the event must be supervised by an official.
Runway Marks:
White athletic or vinyl tape may be used on the runways. Do NOT use other forms of tape (electrical, masking, etc.). Chalk and Cones are not permitted.
Weigh-In:
The implement weigh-in area is typically located just outside of the throws cage. All implements will be certified with officials prior to the start of each event. Please have your implements picked up after the completion of the event. A high school boys weight implement is on loan from USATF-NE and available for use.
Lane Assignments:
Generally, in-lane started races are assigned lane preferential based on seeding and will most likely be assigned as the following:
