This officer's team held an intersection and bridge near the hospital, covering an important avenue. If the defenses of this bridge were breached, the hospital garrison would have a hard time.

This commander's squad arrived at the extraction point on UH-60 helicopter and almost immediately deployed to defensive positions. The arrival of reinforcements stabilized the situation and encouraged the defenders. Â

When he realized that the situation near the Washington Monument evacuation point was practically critical, he sent an additional squad to reinforce the garrison.
