Membership

Any person ≥16 years old may participate as a Member of the Davis Square Neighborhood Council who:

• Resides within ½ mile of the Neighborhood Boundaries;

• Receives support services within the Neighborhood Boundaries;

• Is employed at a business located within the Neighborhood Boundaries;

• Operates a business located within the Neighborhood Boundaries; or

• Owns real estate within the Neighborhood Boundaries; or

• Regularly volunteers at an organization/agency located within the Neighborhood Boundaries; or

• Is determined to have a genuine local interest by a majority vote of the Board

To participate in DSNC meetings or votes, participants need to become official members by completing a form (below) with their name, address, email address, and qualifying Member criteria. Alternatively it is possible to participate as a non-member.  Non-members may still join and participate on the DSNC mailing list and attend and participate fully in DSNC meetings, with the exception of voting.

Members shall not be charged dues or any other membership fees.

To apply for membership, fill out this application form, and show one of the verification documents to a board member or authorized representative (listed below) at a meeting, the after-meeting socializing, or at an arranged time and date. To set up a verification meeting with a board member, email the board.

Current Zoom verification open office hours: 

• Friday, March 20th from 12-1 PM -- Zoom office hours with Louisa

• Saturday, March 21st from 10-11 AM -- Zoom office hours with Louisa 

• Tuesday, March 24th from 6-7 PM at Diesel Cafe -- in person with Carmen

• Wednesday, March 25th from 12-1 PM -- Zoom office hours with Louisa 

• Thursday, March 26th from 11 AM - 2 PM at Davis Squared -- in person with Paul

• Monday, March 30th from 5:30 - 6 PM prior to the general membership meeting

• Ongoing, EVERY DAY at Boston Tattoo from 12-8 PM Mon-Sat / 12-5 PM Sundays -- in person with Jason's team

Board members (Elaine F. Almquist, Chris Beland, PJ Kim-Santos, Zev Pogrebin, Carmen Phillips, Jack Connolly, Jason Zube, Louisa Bissett, and Paul Christie) and Election Committee members (Michèle Hansen, Emily B, Emily Lacika, Sara Oaklander, Hala Jadallah, Rebecca Rogers, and Ed Woll) are authorized to verify prospective new members' eligibility.
