AI Box

This project's main function is to turn itself off when turned on by the user. I programmed the finger and door with 8 response options to convey personality to an inanimate object.

I designed and constructed an AI Box with the primary function of turning itself off when turned on by the user. In addition, the Box was programmed with 8 response options for both the finger and the door to give it a more human-like personality. To achieve a 100% probability of the Box turning itself off, I oversaw all steps of the project from conception to implementation, using Six Sigma to save $100+ in costs by reducing errors. As part of my efforts to improve my electrical engineering capabilities, I implemented a de-bounce circuit in the Box. I also honed my SolidWorks skills by designing the entire structure in the software. I used more advanced features such as smoothing the edges of the box, counter-sinking the holes for the bolts, and modeling the inner space to organize the electrical components, including the Arduino, 9v battery, circuit board, and servo motors.

Throughout the project, I demonstrated my engineering proficiency by implementing a comprehensive design process that prioritized functionality, efficiency, and quality. By designing the AI Box to turn itself off upon being turned on, I was able to create a unique and user-friendly device that included an element of human-like personality. Additionally, I leveraged my knowledge of Six Sigma and other quality improvement techniques to minimize errors and maximize cost savings. The de-bounce circuit and other electrical components I incorporated in the design demonstrated my ability to tackle complex electrical engineering challenges. Overall, the AI Box project provided an excellent opportunity for me to sharpen my engineering skills and showcase my ability to design and build a functional device from the ground up.
