Throughout my academic and professional career, I have been involved in various cross-disciplinary team projects, demonstrating my technical direction and design-build leadership skills. As the President of the Robotics Society at Portland State University, I have shown exemplary leadership, managing a $6,000 budget, inventing and programming a mechanical autonomous biped, and lecturing on SolidWorks tutorials, control theory, and sensor generators. I have a strong track record of project management, providing technical direction, and leading design-build teams, all while ensuring project timelines and budget constraints are met. My personal projects, including the development of a beverage-launching fridge and a Two Minute Thermal Conductor, demonstrate my ability to troubleshoot control system designs and create innovative and cost-effective solutions. I am proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB, C++, and LabVIEW, and have experience with PLC applications and HMI development. Additionally, I possess excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in robotics engineering and am excited to continue to grow and develop in this field.
I absolutely love spending my free time indulging in my hobbies, which include woodworking, rock climbing, half marathons, and mud runs. Woodworking has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I find it incredibly rewarding to turn raw pieces of wood into beautiful, functional objects. There's something so satisfying about working with my hands and seeing my creations come to life.
Besides woodworking, I am also deeply passionate about rock climbing. The excitement of ascending a wall and reaching the summit is something that I find incredibly addictive. It's a fantastic way to push myself both physically and mentally, and I always experience a great sense of satisfaction upon reaching the top.
On the weekends, you'll often find me participating in half marathons and mud runs. I love the challenge of pushing my limits and testing my endurance. It's a great way to stay in shape and I always feel great after finishing a race.
Finally, I enjoy making raw wood epoxy resin tables. It's a unique and creative way to combine my love of woodworking with my passion for design. There's something really special about creating a functional piece of art that people can enjoy for years to come.
