David Borden is a musician, technologist, and healthcare industry professional. Playing piano and composing from a young age, he studied music, theater and filmmaking in college, but earned his living as a software engineer and technical architect. He was a co-founder and CTO at MRO Corporation, a company that provides services to hospitals and health systems to securely and efficiently distribute medical records. While working at MRO, he was appointed to the public board overseeing Pennsylvania’s Health Information Exchange, and later was elected to the board of the Sequoia Project, the non-profit that runs the national eHealth Exchange network.
Mr. Borden retired from MRO in 2020, after helping grow the company from a startup to the KLAS-recognized industry leader. Since then, he has divided his time between his family, music, and volunteer service. His service work includes pursuing his passion for immigration justice and educational equity.
