CCA AUCTION HONORING A FALLEN HERO
As you have probably read on OBC Ramblings our friend Rick Lyons suffered a terrible personal tragedy last week. His nephew Charlie Cortez, a police officer, lost his life in the line of duty. He was performing a rescue mission of a distressed boater when his boat was struck by a rogue wave and capsized. He was married and the father of two children. In addition to sending Rick our thoughts and prayers we would like to do something tangible. To that end we have decided to hold an auction similar to the PAL auction that Mark Talbot ran this summer in his wife's memory. The proceeds will go to Charlie's family to possibly help with his children's' education or to meet any immediate needs that the family might have. Rick has given us his permission to go ahead with this and is very appreciative. So where do you come in? We are asking for all friends of Rick (OBC, OCT and VCT) to please consider donating items to the auction. as well as bidding.

How to see the Lots:

To submit a lot for charity do two things: 1) Send a 1-line description to be cut and pasted into the bid board and 2) send a photo to Toback (messenger, email using toback@tamu.edu) if you like
To bid on a lot: Simply let Toback know what Lot # you would like to bid on and how much you'd like to bid.
Winnings:
After winners have been determined payment will be made to Dave's Paypal account (toback@tamu.edu).
Items will be sent from the submitters directly to the winners.
