We will consider the following for later versions of the game:
Have a 0.10 Chip entry fee with 60% of the full pot going to the winner (most Bingos found), 30% to second place and 10% to third place.
Declare that a fraction or set amount of all Bingo winnings go to the winner.
Great Equalizer Program:
Dupes Bingo was designed for cards to fly for EVERYONE, not as a way of accumulating Chips at others expense. For this reason we will change things so that anyone who accumulated more than 5 Chips, or is down 5 Chips will be given special dispensation for a short time (until they go back past the threshold). We will take into account any balance from CCA (although that part won't happen in real time)
Specifically:
If you are up by more than 5 Chips, you are labeled FAIR GAME and your want list becomes available for hitting with a fair price to be determined by Chaos. Once enough hits accumulate such that you go below 5 Chips your FAIR GAME label is removed. We expect people to be reasonable and not try to send you 100 1982 FB if you have sent out a bunch of 60's HNs or 55 Bowmans.
Similarly, if you are in debt by more than 5 Chips you are granted a HUNTING LISCENCE and you can hit any list of any player who is labeled FAIR GAME. Once your debt is below 5 Chips your HUNTING LISCENCE is revoked. Again, please be reasonable.
How Dr. Chaos thinks about things:
Thought one: Either it's all RAOK or it ain't. If it's all RAOK, then there is no "additional incentive" to search for others or share good cards other than glory (which may be enough)
Thought two: If we do provide a Chip incentive to find lots of cards for others, then those Chips have to come from somewhere. The two obvious places are flat entry fee or "the more you win the more you pay"
Thought three: Focus on "generous" or "fair/competition": Generous means the people with the biggest needs get the most (which I like). Fair means if you give more cards, you get more chips and if you get more cards you pay more chips (unfortunately, I like this also).
Thought four: Since some of these ideas are in contradiction to each other, we can go all in one direction or we find a balance.
Thought five: I'd like one set of rules regardless of whether we pick 1952 Topps or 1990 Upper deck
If there are no winners, it ain't a game
