Workshop Format

The FDAR workshop is a fully interactive, 100% participation event.

This edition will be hybrid, so both online and physical attendance are welcome.

How to join on-site: For those who attend ICDAR physically, you can join the workshop at "Hybrid Room 1" / BC05-06 of the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). See details at the ICDAR's web.

How to join online: if you are a registered ICDAR participant, please access the ICDAR online portal at https://icdar2021.aio-events.com/ with your username and password. Look for the button "ACCESS STREAMING" next to the workshop sessions, when the sessions go live.

Schedule

Hands-on Sessions

For the hands-on sessions we will use either plain post-its (on-site) or Mural (https://www.mural.co/) (online). Mural will also be used for the times when everyone (on-site and online participants) will need to work together. You do not need an account to join the boards in Mural, just a link that we will provide to the participants on the spot.

On-site participants: please bring your laptops! Although for the group discussions we will use good old paper and post-its, you will need your laptop to participate to the hands-on sessions with everyone (collaborating with the online participants).

Call for Flash Talks

If you are willing to give a flash talk, please send an email to dimos@cvc.uab.es before August 25.

UPDATE (31/8) there are still a couple of slots available for a flash talk, if you are willing to give a flash talk, please contact us ASAP.

There will be limited time for flash talks, and we will implement a first come, first serve policy.

Register Now

Registrations are managed jointly with the main conference ICDAR 2021. All registered attendants to ICDAR 2021 can participate to the workshop - no separate registration is necessary. Please manage your ICDAR registration through the registration site.

In order to best plan for the workshop given current space restrictions and to ensure that everyone present can actively participate, we need to control attendance and possibly limit the maximum number of attendants. We would therefore appreciate it if you could indicate us your intention to attend by filling in our RSVP form below. If we need to impose restrictions, these will be applied on a first-come, first-served policy.
