2019

Lydia RIde Report- I had an amazing time riding with team Sagamores of the Wabash this past weekend! Our journey was quite the adventure. It started in Indianapolis, Indiana in the rain. The rain followed us into Ohio. Even with a moderate head and cross wind majority of the journey no one complained! (I'm cursed with wind and rain at ACP events I'm telling you!!!) We traveled East to Columbus, Ohio and encountering flooded roads, and gravel roads. Other notable events: the dog at the first control; Ron getting whistled at and Steve saying "He's still got it!"; Ron sharing a PBJ with a random person at 1am; and delicious beer at 5 street brewery. We completed the ride right on time at the famous Dave Buzzee's house. The other team from Detroit finished as well! I have no idea how they threaded the needle and never got wet and sure do hope they enjoyed their triptail wind! Dave and Lucy's hospitality is over the top and we are all so thankful for the food, showers, and great conversations. I can't wait to do this event again next year but this time...... With an all ladies team or two! Midwest ladies let's raise that representation number from 10% to over 50%.
