Daniel Zielasko
Daniel is a postdoctoral researcher in the HCI group at Trier University. He earned his doctoral degree in 2020 from the Virtual Reality and Immersive Visualization group at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in desk-centered Virtual Reality. Collaborating across disciplines, he engaged with neuroscientists, psychologists, medical technicians, archaeologists, biologists, and geologists on various projects, including the EU flagship initiative HBP (Human Brain Project) and SMHB (Supercomputing and Modelling for the Human Brain).
In 2013, he obtained his Master's degree in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University, focusing on correction mechanisms for optically tracked anatomical joints. Currently, Daniel is dedicated to integrating VR technologies and methodologies into everyday life, particularly within professional workflows and entertainment contexts. His primary interests lie in promoting empathy and environmental awareness through immersive technologies, investigating the underlying concepts, addressing cybersickness associated with immersive experiences, and designing compelling and innovative 3D user interfaces to enhance immersive interactions.
