A risk review has been conducted and areas of concern identified. Each identified risk has been categorized in terms of probability (likelihood of occurrence) and severity of impact. A plan to mitigate the top ten risks has been devised. Examples of identified risks that would have a high severity of impact include 1) a hospital or environmental emergency creates work that takes priority over the project (medium probability), 2) lack of staff (medium probability), 3) scope drift (low probability) and 4) lack of buy-in from nursing staff (low probability). A crucial part of the risk management plan is robust communication. A communication plan has been implemented, and the same structure will be used to maintain communication regarding this project.
