Hi, I’m Dalila Aguirre (Duh-lee-lah Uh-gee-ray). My career path hasn’t been a straight line—and honestly, I like it that way. Each step has given me a different set of skills, experiences, and perspectives that I now bring together through my work in the skilled trades, property management, administration, and hands-on home services.

I was raised by a single mother, and as a first-generation Mexican American, I grew up understanding the importance of working hard, being resourceful, and learning how to do things for ourselves. From a young age, I learned skills that helped my mom save money, take care of our home, and build a better future for us.

Being raised in a single-parent household also taught me how important it is to feel capable and secure in your own home. My mom and I learned to be careful about who we allowed into our home and who we trusted to work on things we didn’t understand. Thankfully, we were fortunate not to experience anything truly malicious, but I became increasingly aware of how important it is—especially as a woman—to understand what is happening in your own home and to feel confident asking questions.

I learned that knowing how something works can give you a sense of independence. It can help you recognize when something doesn’t sound right, understand whether you’re being treated fairly, and feel less intimidated when dealing with repairs, contractors, or unfamiliar situations. I don’t believe anyone should have to become an expert in everything just to feel safe or avoid being taken advantage of.

That idea has stayed with me throughout my career.

I graduated with my Associate’s degree in Graphic Design in December 2021. While graphic design gave me a strong foundation in creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail, I soon found myself drawn toward real estate and working with properties. In April 2022, I earned my real estate license, and in 2023, I became a licensed notary.

For more than six years, I have worked as a property manager for Blue Moon Real Estate, gaining experience in everything from managing rental properties and coordinating repairs to handling the day-to-day challenges that come with maintaining homes and working with tenants, contractors, and property owners. Through working with different businesses, I have also developed administrative and organizational skills, including communication, scheduling, coordination, problem-solving, and handling the behind-the-scenes work that keeps things moving.

Over the years, I have also taken on a wide variety of handyman and maintenance work. Being hands-on taught me how much I enjoy figuring out how things work, solving problems, and learning skills that allow me to take care of a property from the ground up.

That eventually led me to the skilled trades.

In May 2026, I graduated from Tulsa Tech’s Adult Electrical Program, where I developed practical experience in electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and safety. I am currently continuing my education at Tulsa Tech in the HVACR program, expanding my knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.

But working with my hands isn’t limited to construction and maintenance. I have always enjoyed creating things. I like taking an idea and figuring out how to turn it into something real, whether that means building a chicken coop from scrap materials, making paper flowers, experimenting with different arts and crafts, or learning the process of bookbinding. I enjoy creating, figuring things out, and learning new skills simply because I’m curious about how things work.

For me, creativity and the skilled trades have a lot in common. Both require problem-solving, patience, attention to detail, and the ability to look at what you have and figure out what you can create or accomplish with it. Sometimes the best solution isn’t the most obvious one—you have to think outside the box.

My long-term goal is to bring all of these skills together into a multi-service business that helps people in many different ways. I don’t want to limit myself to one type of client or one category of service. I want to be able to help wherever my skills can make someone’s life easier.

That could mean helping with home maintenance, electrical or HVACR-related projects, assisting with administrative tasks, organizing schedules, coordinating services, helping with a property, or providing personal assistant-type support. Sometimes people don’t need one specific service. They simply need someone they can trust to help them figure things out, handle a task, or take a few responsibilities off their plate.

A major part of what I hope to provide is that same sense of confidence and security that became important to me growing up. I especially want to help other women feel more comfortable and empowered when it comes to their homes and the services they need. Whether that means helping them understand a repair, making sure they know what they’re paying for, helping coordinate someone else’s work, or simply being a trusted person they can call, I want my clients to feel like they have someone in their corner.

I know firsthand that not everyone has the time, energy, knowledge, or resources to handle everything themselves. Sometimes having someone trustworthy who can step in, explain things clearly, find a solution, or simply help get something done can make a huge difference.

I see the variety of skills I have developed as a strength rather than something that needs to fit into one category. My background in graphic design taught me creativity. Property management taught me organization, communication, and responsibility. Working with my hands taught me practical problem-solving. The skilled trades have given me technical knowledge. And growing up with my mom taught me resourcefulness, independence, and the importance of knowing how to take care of yourself and the people you care about.

I want to build a business that brings all of those things together.

Ultimately, I want to create something that makes people’s lives a little easier and gives them someone they can trust. I want to keep learning, keep creating, and keep expanding what I’m capable of so that I can continue finding new ways to help others.

My journey is still just beginning, but I’m excited to see what I can build with everything I’ve learned along the way. My goal is to create a business built around independence, trust, creativity, reliability, craftsmanship, and helping people feel confident in the person they choose to let into their home and their lives.

At the end of the day, everything I’ve learned has come from wanting to be capable, independent, and helpful. What started with learning skills to help my mom has grown into a passion for learning, creating, fixing, and finding solutions.

I know I still have a lot to learn, and I’m okay with that. In fact, that’s one of the things I enjoy most. There is always another skill to learn, another problem to figure out, and another idea I can bring to life.

My hope is that one day I can turn all of these skills and experiences into a business that does more than provide a service. I want to create something people can rely on—a place where they can come when they don’t know who to call, need an extra set of hands, or simply want someone they can trust to help them figure it out.

I started this journey by helping my mom build a future for us. Now, I want to use what I’ve learned to help build something of my own—and hopefully make someone else’s life a little easier along the way.
