7 - Completing the Tutorial

We safely arrived at our new Honmaru. 

For now, I’m planning to follow the tutorial properly, without any fail. Konnosuke, the yellow fox spirit, also acted as a guide this time.

Starting from smithing, with all 50 resources. 

This time I got a cute short sword, Tantou in white scabbard with black polkadot. I wonder what kind of sword this is.

“Ummm, I'm Gokotai... I know my name is about driving off tigers, but that's totally impossible for me. I mean, I... look how cute they are…” 

I'm surprised when I saw not just one spirit of the sword, but he's also brought along 5 tiger cubs with him. That's really cute.

After that, I refined Hachisuka once again. 

Next, we made troops. This time I got a silver Light Infantry. 

So far, there’s no problem in the tutorial. 

We went to Saniwa's room and prepared for the battle. 

The battlefield is still the same, ≪Memory of the Meiji Restoration – Hakodate≫. 

I think that will be a fixed stage for the tutorial. 

I’m a bit worried about Gokotai because he’s not as composed as Yagen, but I guess I can rely on Hachisuka. 

“Good luck, and please come back safely.” 

I patted Hachisuka’s shoulder. 

“Please leave it to us, Master.” 

Hachisuka nodded, we both already know they will be somehow injured in this battle for the sake of the battle. 

“Sortie, is it... I don't like it…” I heard Gokotai sobbed. 

“I believe in you, Gokotai! You’ll become stronger soon enough!”

Finally, they departed when Hachisuka pressed the blue button on the platform. This time I watched the battle progression again through the screen. Even though I know what will happen, I still wince when Hachisuka is badly injured. Hachisuka has once again entered his awakening state. I bit my lips when they finally came back to the Honmaru. 

“Hachisuka! Gokotai!” 

I quickly go to them and revert them back to their sword form. Following Konnosuke, I quickly put them both to the repair room. 

“You can also speed up the repair using Help Token.” 

Konnosuke gestured towards the Help Token. I quietly followed his instructions and instantly repaired both Hachisuka and Gokotai using the Help Tokens. 

“Thanks, Master.” Hachisuka said when I summoned him back. 

“Thank goodness... That hurt.” Gokotai sniffled a bit. 

“Good job, both of you. You’re doing great!” 

I gave them a little pep talk. 

“Alright, Master! Currently you have got a hang on being a Saniwa! We weren't able to check the battle report before, so, let’s go check it now. Your Touken Danshi might bring a new companion from the battlefield.” 

Konnosuke said while trotting back to Saniwa's room.

“Wait, did you previously also get a sword from the battle?” I whispered to Hachisuka. 

“Aah… Yeah, when I think about it, we did get one new sword. A lot of things happened, so I forgot about it. But don’t worry. They’re still in their Sword form and never summoned either, so I don’t think it’s a problem.” 

Hachisuka said in a low voice too. I just nodded, but I couldn't stop myself from frowning. 

“Master, when you get something from the battle, you can find it here.” 

Konnosuke jumped on a box near the platform. It looks like a mailbox. I took the sword inside it. It’s another Tantou with red scabbard, and some detailing in pink. 

“Hai hai, Midare Toushiro here! You can just go right ahead and forget about everyone else, 'cos I'm here.” 

A cute long-pink haired kid in a skirt showed up. 

“Oh, you’re so cute! Nice to meet you, Midare-kun! I’m Shiromi Matou.” 

I patted his head. 

“Ehehe, thank you, Master! Let’s get alo~ng very well!” Midare is a kid full of energy. 

“I think I have explained everything for now. You can call me anytime if you need me, Shiromi-sama. You can call me using this button here.” 

Konnosuke pointed to a yellow button on the computer panel. 

“I’m looking forward to your future achievement, dear Saniwa. Please take good care of this Honmaru!” 

Konnosuke bowed before disappearing.

I sighed, “We actually did it this time.” 

I smiled towards Hachisuka. 

“Yes, I guess we need to properly follow the instructions next time too.” Hachisuka nodded. 

“What are you talking about, Master?” Midare asked curiously. 

“Ah, it’s nothing! Firstly, let’s eat some dinner first, and then let’s try to go for another battle.” 

“I will cook for everyone this time.” Hachisuka smiled. 

The Touken Danshis changed their clothes to casual clothes and we ate dinner together. Hachisuka served some karaage for dinner today. 

“Thank you Hachisuka.” I ate deliciously. 

I’m starting to feel like home here. It's a really nice place to live. I guess I’ll spend a lot of my time here. 

“Let’s try battling again after this. With Midare here, I think it should be better now.” 

I encouraged them. My duty here is clearing missions by doing battle, so I guess I should do that starting from now. 

“Sure, Master. We will get stronger by doing the mission too. We can level up here. So, it’s best to get stronger quickly, so we can do missions easier in the future.” Hachisuka nodded. 

“Alright, let’s go battling again after this.” 

I said as I patted Gokotai’s tiger cub on my lap. 

“There’s a new mission here. Do you think you will be able to do this?” I asked them. 

“I guess so, Master. They’ll assign us a mission that we will be able to do, so we probably will be able to do it just fine.” Hachisuka nodded.
