Prerequisites: KCDS 142 or KCDR 131

Course Description:

Students will learn the design and technical process of shooting video and digital editing and apply these techniques to their major area of study.

Course Outcomes:

The student will:

  • Communicate a video project concept, considering genre and copyright issues, in concise verbal, visual, and written formats

  • Create concepts, storyboards, and layouts that are congruent with current industry standards within the student’s major area of study

  • Prepare footage, graphics, type, and sound for video

  • Critique and receive critique for projects, relative to the stated objectives, as a member of a review group, and then advance them accordingly
